We are preparing a show about the life and works of Sicilian folk singer Rosa Balistreri, entitled “IO SONO VOCE.” Rosa was born in Licata on March 21, 1927, and died in Palermo on September 20, 1990. She lived mainly in Licata, Palermo, Florence, and Castelfiorentino. We will debut in early 2027, on the centenary of her birth, at the Teatro del Popolo in Castelfiorentino, and from there we will embark on a tour throughout Italy. We invite all interested theater groups and associations to contact us for a repeat performance and/or related events (lectures, performances, song recitals).
