Sognai talmente forte che mi uscì il sangue dal naso (eng)

An emotional tribute to Fabrizio De André, on the 20th anniversary of his death, weaving together music, poetry and reflections on diversity and inclusion. Inspired by the iconic line from the song “Sand Creek River,” the show establishes a parallel between the genocide of American Indians and the tragedies of migrants in the Mediterranean. Through the recital form, Fabrizio De André’s most socially engaged songs alternate with readings of poetic and literary texts by various authors on migration in every age and latitude, on the value of diversity, inclusion, and tolerance, creating a universal dialogue between eras and histories, past and present.
As in all Sanguemisto shows, highly emotional videos accompany the songs and readings. On stage are the Vincanto, a musical trio that for years has been pursuing a quest between Folk Music and Songwriting, marked by a strong social and civil commitment and boasting a historic collaboration with Rodolfo Vezzosi, director and founder of Sanguemisto.

The show debuts on July 31, 2019 at the Giardino dell’Orticoltura in Florence, just 15 days after “I Saw Myself Leaving”. This pace testifies to Sanguemisto’s production and organizational commitment. On stage, Vincanto enrich the tribute with their folk interpretation of De André’s songs, giving it new depth and contemporary resonance.
